On Thursday the next meeting in the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) format is being held on the border of South Ossetia and Georgia.

As Egor Kochiev, head of the South Ossetian delegation to the IPRM, told the “Res” news agency, the main issue that the South Ossetian party has been raising for several years now is the removal of the illegal Georgian police post from the territory of South Ossetia, set up at the end of August 2019.

Valery Alikhanty, the head of the Border Guard Service of the KGB of South Ossetia, has reminded that residents of the Republic’s settlements have been applying to the district departments of the KGB since 2011 to obtain a pass granting the right to cross the state border in a simplified manner.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev met on Tuesday in Moscow with Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to South Ossetia Jesús Rafael Salazar Velazquez, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports on the official website of the Ministry.

The event will take place May 3-4. Its participants will be able to get acquainted with modern trends and prospects for the development of activities in the implementation of large-scale infrastructure and innovative projects and programs.

The Moscow independent theater "Firs" will perform a two-day tour program at the State Drama Theater of South Ossetia, the press service of the South Ossetian Theater told the "Res" news agency.

“Students of our university Diana Dzitsoyty and Kamila Yakubova are participating in the model UN at MGIMO. Model UN is a scientific conference in the format of a role-playing game, where students and high school students simulate the work of the bodies of the United Nations system," the press service said.

The violator of the state border of South Ossetia was expelled on Friday to Georgia, the press service of the KGB reports.

“April 17, 2023 in the vicinity of the settlement of Khuymta, Znaur district, for violating the regime of the state border of the Republic, the South Ossetian border guards detained a citizen of Georgia Mamagulashvili Dmitry Zakharovich, born in 1991, a resident of the village of Dvani of the Karelian municipality,” the press service said.
