The Austrian observer Patrick Poppel will tell Europe that South Ossetia is a country with all the institutions of statehood. He told reporters about this.
“I see that the state is indeed functioning normally, like the countries of Europe, Russia, etc. It is very important for Westerners and other countries that South Ossetia is a normal state, that the state structure and the electoral process work well here. It is very important for me that I know this, and I will be talking about it in Europe,” said Poppel.
The turnout in the presidential elections in South Ossetia by 16.00 was 59.9%. Thus, the elections have been successful as the turnout exceeded 50% of the voters, the CEC Chairman said earlier.
