Russia's financial assistance provided for socio-economic development of South Ossetia in 2023 amounts to 5 billion 892 thousand rubles, of which the Republic has already received about 20 percent. This was announced on Wednesday at the meeting on socio-economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and South Ossetia in Tskhinval, Minister of Finance of the Republic Kazbek Tsarikaev.

President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev met with Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach, who had arrived in Tskhinval on a working visit, the press service of the head of state reports.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of socio-economic cooperation between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation.⠀

Earlier, a delegation of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, headed by Dmitry Volvach, inspected the facilities being built under the Investment Program.⠀

The Alexandr Tibilov South Ossetian State University will sign a cooperation agreement with the National Fund for Support of Social Programs of Russia. This decision was made during the meeting of rector of the South Ossetian State University with the management of the fund, the press service of the university reports.

"It was reached the signing of cooperation agreement and implementation of humanitarian projects in a wide range of areas," the press service said.

The delegation of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, headed by Deputy Head of the Department Dmitry Volvach, inspected the facilities under construction in South Ossetia as part of the Investment Program.

Representatives of the Ministry arrived in the Republic on Wednesday for a two-day working visit.

The guests were accompanied by Chairman of the government of the Republic Konstantin Dzhussoev, head of the Ministry of Construction Konstantin Eldzarov, representatives of the capital construction department and other officials.
