Gross violation of recognized norms: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia commented on the decision of the EU on the non-recognition of Russian passports issued in South Ossetia
The EU decision on non-recognition of Russian passports issued in South Ossetia is regarded in the Republic as a gross violation of generally recognized norms, aimed, among other things, at serving the interests of Georgia in its policy of isolating South Ossetia. This is stated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia.
The EU Council has finally approved the decision on the non-recognition of Russian passports issued in the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
