On the 22 round of Geneva international talks on security and stability in Transcaucasia
December 12, 2012 a new meeting of the international talks on security and stability in Transcaucasia has been completed in Geneva. The meeting was attended by delegations of the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Abkhazia, Georgia, the Russian Federation, the United States, as well as the EU, the UN and the OSCE representatives. South Ossetian delegation was headed by Presidential Envoy for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev.

The 22- round of the Geneva talks on security in Transcaucasia is ongoing in Geneva. As reported to IA "Res" by Presidential Envoy of South Ossetia on post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev, the South Ossetian delegation focused on the situation in the region.

The Ossetian weightlifter Oleg Khugaev has wonthe European Championship among youth and juniors held in Eilat (Israel). This has been reported to IA "Res" by the information-analytical department of the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism of South Ossetia.

Official delegation of the Republic of South Ossetia has arrived in Switzerland to participate in the Geneva international talks.
As reported to the news agency "Res" by a Head of the South Ossetian delegation, Presidential Envoy for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev, the key question for the South Ossetian party is still the matter of security.

Rehabilitation process of South Ossetia and Abkhazia under the previous leadership of the republic was going on with the "corruption component". Today Moscow hopes for positive change, said presidential aide Tatyana Golikova.
"The recovery processes are not very fast; of course, there was an element of corruption under the former leadership and former approach to using the funds. But to date, it seems that things are getting better,"- she said at a round table "Russia in a Changing World", held within the framework of the meeting of members of the government and the presidential administration with the trustees of the Russian president.

December 11-12 the next 22th round of discussions on security in Transcaucasia will be held in Geneva.

South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov met with members of the South Ossetian delegation at the Geneva discussions on security in Transcaucasia. Opening the meeting, the President has noted that South Ossetia attaches great importance to the Geneva discussions - the only international platform where is carried on the work on post-conflict settlement.

The Mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross is providing humanitarian aid to residents of the districts of South Ossetia, whose farmlands have suffered from hail in June. The humanitarian action started on December 4 and will continue for several days.

To help the low-income population is one of the priorities of the Mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in South Ossetia. This has been said IA "Res" by a spokesperson of the ICRC in South Ossetia Marina Tedeti.

Georgia has expressed a desire to normalize relations with Russia, still considering Abkhazia and South Ossetia as the occupied territories. Such rhetoric is not conducive to a dialogue without preconditions.
