South Ossetian State Drama Theatre named after Kosta Khetagurov is participating in the VI International Festival of the North Caucasus Theatres "Stage without borders," which is being held December 2 - 6 in the capital of North Ossetia.
As reported to IA «RES» the theatre's art Director Eduard Kelekhsaev, at the festival the theatre troupe will present the performance «He, she, the window, the deceased».
"It's a cheerful, full of sparkling humor play by English playwright Ray Cooney," - told Kelekhsaev, who is also the art director of the play.
Opening of the festival, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the People's Artist of the USSR Konstantin Stanislavsky, took place December 2 on the stage of the North Ossetian State Academic Theater named after Vladimir Tkhapsaev.
The festival is also attended by North Ossetian State Academic Theater named after Vladimir Tkhapsaev, the Abkhaz State Drama Theatre, the Digorian State Drama Theatre and other theaters from Dagestan, Chechnya, Ingushetia, Adyghe Republic, Kalmykia, Kabardino-Balkaria.
A special guest of the festival is the State Theatre of a film actor from Moscow.
The festival will also host a press conference with members of the jury and the heads of official delegations, an exhibition of theater artists, "creative laboratory," as well as a roundtable discussion "The Fate of Repertory Theater in the modern world in the context of teaching by Stanislavsky."
The festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Union of theatrical figures of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture and Mass Communications of North Ossetia.
The idea of holding the theatre festival in Vladikavkaz belongs to the Maitre of the Ossetian national scene, People's Artist of Russia, film Director George Khugaev.
