TERRORISTIC ACT AGAINST PEACEFUL OSSETIAN POPULATION ON 27 MAY 2006

On the fact of a special terroristic operation by the special forces of Georgia against peaceful Ossetian population, carried out on 27 May 2006, the Procurators Office of the Republic of South Ossetia instigated a criminal case as per article 126 of the Criminal Code of the RF (kidnapping).
The correspondent of “Res” agency was informed at the Procurator’s Office of the RSO that in the course of the carried investigative actions it was found out that on the 27 May the territory of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone was intruded by Special Forces of the Ministry Of Interior of Georgia, more than five hundred in number.
The special operation was conducted in three directions: along the roads that lead to remote Ossetian villagies in Tskhinvali region, on Trasnkam – villages Tamarasheni, Kekhvi and village Eredvi. At the same time were blocked all the main roads to Ossetian villages that go through Georgian territories.
In general, 60 people were captured, including woman and children, out of them 41 people were transported to Gori town, Georgia. The hostages, taken in village Kekhvi, were transported to Gori through the trilateral peacekeeping point “Pauk”.
Though negotiations, during the night of 27-28 May the hostages that were taken to Gori, were released. The hostages were bitten up and humiliated. As reported, they were also asked about military personnel and arms of the Ministry of Defense of RSO, about the President and Prime-Minister of RSO. The hostages were threatened and promised “speedy solution for the Ossetian issue”.
