«The Command of JPKF expresses deep concern on occasion of frank ignoring of the requirement of the Joint Staff of JPKF about coordination of carrying out of a tripartite monitoring together with the representatives of the Mission of OSCE on the fact, stated in references from August, 30th 2007 and from August, 31st 2007», by the georgian side, including the co-chairman of the georgian part of JCC D.Mandzhavidze. The assistant of the commander of JPKF on work with the mass-media the lieutenant colonel Juriy Vereshchak informs about it.
«On August, 29th 2007 by the power structures of Georgia were illegally arrested the three military men of the peace-making forces from the Republic of North Ossetia-Аlania with subsequent passing under compulsion of the two of them beyond the territory of the zone of the georgian-ossetian conflict to the settlement Mtskheta.
That the georgian side completely realizes the illegitimacy of the committed by it actions speaks also the fact that it tried to keep the given scandalous fact in secret. Only in three days, on September, 1st, 2007, the Joint Staff of JPKF has received a letter from the co-chairman of JCC from the georgian side D.Mandzhavidze, in which it is informed about the fact of detention by the power structures of Georgia of the military men of the peace-making forces from the Republic of North Ossetia-Аlania and application of arrest for 2 months as a preventive punishment with keeping in an insulator №5 of the city of Tbilisi.
The given actions from the part of the power structures of Georgia are the roughest infringement of all the international-legal norms and also of the before signed agreements within the limits of settlement of the georgian-ossetian conflict and cannot promote to growth of trust and the removal of intensity in the zone of the conflict.
The Command of JPKF demands the urgent coordination by the parties of the question on carrying out of a tripartite monitoring together with the representatives of the Mission of OSCE and the immediate release of the detained military men of JPKF in the zone of the georgian-ossetian conflict», Juriy Vereshchak has informed.
