The President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity received the delegation from North Ossetia. They discussed the situation created over South Ossetia last days. All the participants mentioned the complexity of situation. Eduard Kokoity emphasized that the people should not yield to the provocations organized by the Georgian side, whatever tragic and grave as it may be.
«We have to follow the preselected path. This, firstly mean to provide security of RSO citizens and, secondly, to realize all the preplanned plans and measures. The actions of Georgian side are actively connected with the development of RSO economics and social sphere as well as the integration of North and South of Ossetia»-said the President.
According to the President all this is surveyed by the Georgian side and they see the gap between South Ossetia and Georgia in social sphere and they will try to impede.
«Today the Georgian side is trying to discredit our stand before the international community claiming they are ready for the direct negotiations with South Ossetia. It is nothing more than another PR-action. From the one hand, talking about the prepareness to negotiations, we observe they gather heavy weaponry to RSO borders what indicates that Georgia put an armed pressure upon us to incline us to break the format, to exclude North Ossetia and Russia. But we are not going to follow their tastes. Without the participation of North Ossetia and Russia we will not negotiate with no one»-stated the President and noted that this is another ploy of Georgian side.
«If Georgian side will not withdraw its unlawful troops from the conflict zone we will emboss them out. Once again, we are in power to do this. It is a meanness to shot innocent people with sniper weapons, to hide behind the churches and to build fortifications at the cemeteries – only Georgians can do this».
The Chairman of All Ossetian movement «Styr Nykhas» Boris Basaev mentioned how bravely and persistently Ossetians withstand all the difficulties.
«We arrive to see, first of all, the moral state of people and once again make sure of firmness of Ossetian people»-said Basaev.
«As for the shifting of negotiating format, as the Georgian side is pressing for, it is practically impossible to exclude North Ossetia and Russia. Because, first of all, we are one people and this is our common problem. Secondly, we are all Russian citizens both at the north and at the south and the State is obliged to protect its citizens»-added Basaev.
Eduard Kokoity also thanked the Government of North Ossetia for receiving evacuated from the south of Ossetia children and mentioned that the children must be in calm environment.
