Association of Women of South Ossetia for Democracy and Human Rights, together with all the citizens of RSO followed with great concern events related to the announcement of the inauguration date by the ex-candidate to the President Dzhioeva Alla, and incident which happened in Tskhinval on February 9, when Alla Alekseevna Dzhioeva was transported to Rebublican Hospital in grave condition.
We, together with all citizens of RSO, stand for civilized holding of major elections which are to be held in RSO on March 25.
The elections must be held in the framework of the free will of citizens, on the basis of respect of principles of democracy and in strict observance of RSO's laws.
The events of February 9 and the subsequent massive misinformation aimed at discrediting of our republic, aroused our deep indignation. In this regard, we urge the media around the world to be more responsible, and prosecute those who spread evidently false information, held them accountable.
Alla Dzhioeva is absolutely a strong leader and a great politician. Her public and political activities are well known and do not need protection, founded on false information.
We expect responsible actions from our politicians and consider that announcement by A.A.Dzhioeva of inauguration date is provocative as it could lead to dangerous aggrevation of situation.
At the same time we think that the authorities were obliged to undertake other actions in order to prevent this procedure and not act from the perspective of force demonstration.
Taking into consideration the fact that mass media spread incident related information based purely on rumours and inventions we demand independent investigation.
In order to stabilize public and political situation we should move to a policy of compromise and civilized dialogue.
This serves the interests of all our people and it will be the indicator of maturity pf por society.
All applicants for the highest position in the Republic should more critical assess their own actions and take responsibility for their decisions.
Our people do not lack common sense and courage. In spite of everything, we overcame a very difficult path towards recognition of our independence.
Today we all have to overcome the current difficult public and political situation.
We have to demonstrate high political culture and with the support of our citizens to elect a respectable leader in civilized presidential elections to be held on March 25.
