Karateka Christina Zhuravleva finished third at the Kyokushinkai karate competitions, which are being held these days within the frames of the V-th Open All-Russian Youth Games of martial arts in Anapa. As IA "Res" has been informed by the head coach of the Kyokushin-Kan Karate Federation of South Ossetia Vladimir Sozaev, "Zhuravleva held three matches. She has won two of them, and one lost with insignificant advantage to her opponent and eventually won a bronze medal "- said Sozaev.

According to him, Zhuravleva performed in the weight category up to 50 kilograms of athletes aged 12-13 years old.
"The composition of the competition was very strong, as the tournament had gathered a lot of well-known athletes from various Russian cities and regions in which Kyokushinkai karate is very well developed. Taking into account this fact and that Zhuravleva is involved in karate a relatively short time, it is a very good achievement, "- he added.
Earlier, Christine Zhuravleva has taken second place in the competition for Kyokushinkai Karate held within the frames of the V-th Open for Children and Youth Games of Martial Arts of North Ossetia.
The karateka is trained by Vladimir Sozaev.
