Relatives of the missing persons of South Ossetia had recourse to the Prime Minister and the Attorney General of Georgia to determine the fate of their loved ones.
The letter has also included the findings of the Hammerberg expert commission, charged with the investigating the circumstances of the disappearance of the missing citizens of South Ossetia, as well as the video evidence of their being kept by law enforcement agencies of Georgia.

We shall see the text of the appeal below:

Esteemed Bidzina Grigoryevich!
We, the mothers of the missing since October 2008, Alan Davidovich Khugaev, born in 1989, Soltan Rostikovich Pliev, born in 1983 and Alan Ilyich Khachirov, born in 1991, are addressing to you for help in determining the fate of our children.
For more than four years our sons are considered the missing. Our sons disappeared in October 13, 2008 at the Georgian-controlled territory near the border of South Ossetia. According to the available information, which is also confirmed by the OSCE Mission in Georgia, our sons were detained on the road near the village of Disevi by law enforcement officers in Georgia. However, the Georgian authorities have denied this information.
At our numerous requests to clarify the fate of our children, the international experts to investigate cases of the missing persons had been working in South Ossetia and Georgia till 2010. One of the results of the experts of the Council of Europe on Human Rights was the confirmation of the information that our sons had been seized by law enforcement bodies of Georgia, as well as the findings of non-compliance with the recommendations of the Georgian authorities to investigate the case.
Esteemed Prime Minister! With hope and trust we have perceived the victory of your party in the elections and a positive change in the socio-political life of Georgia. We had been following your election program. Your position on the missing gave hope to us.

In one of your pre-election promises during the election campaign of the "Georgian Dream" in 2012, referring to the 2008 war and its consequences, you said, that you "would find a way to the hearts of the Ossetian mothers who lost their sons," and would inform them of the fate of their sons, the circumstances of their disappearance.
So, Mr. Ivanishvili! Now just those mothers, whom you had in mind then, are appealing to you. We expect that with the victory of your political party the fate of our children will be clarified.
In this case, time does not heal, the pain for our children does not cease.
We ask you to help us in determining the fate of our children.
