The delegation of South Ossetia will take part in the international discussions in Geneva

The South Ossetian delegation went to Geneva to participate in the 24th round of international discussions on security in Transcaucasia. As the news agency "Res" was informed at the office of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy for post-conflict settlement, the next round of talks would be held on June 26-27.

"The discussions will continue working on the key issue - the elaboration of an agreement on non-use of force by Georgia against South Ossetia. Additionally, will be considered measures and suggestions to improve security and stability in the border areas," – was noted at the office of the envoy
South Ossetian delegation is headed by Presidential Envoy for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev. The delegation has also included Presidential Adviser Konstantin Kochiev, head of the delegation of South Ossetia at the meetings in the format of IPRM Khokh Gagloyty, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kazbulat Tskhovrebov, Presidential Commissioner for Human Rights Inal Tasoev.
Earlier, President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov at a meeting with members of the South Ossetian delegation has noted that this is a platform where is well-presented and defended the position of the leadership of South Ossetia.

"At the Geneva discussions the South Ossetian side, together with their counterparts from Abkhazia and the Russian Federation defend the interests of our states, based on the standards of international law," - said the president.
Leonid Tibilov has stressed that South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Russia continue to insist on the signing of a document, which would oblige Georgia not to use force against South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
"South Ossetia has its frontier and, according to these boundaries will be demarcated its borders.
Any unauthorized action carried out by Georgia will be considered as a provocation, "- stressed the head of state
Last week Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation announced that in Geneva would be discussed security issues in the border areas of South Ossetia and Georgia, as well as to ensure the normal life of the local population on both sides of the border. According to the RF Foreign Ministry, these issues are highlighted as a result of the intensified propaganda campaign by the Georgian side at the border between Georgia and South Ossetia.
Russian Foreign Ministry has noted that the adoption by the UN General Assembly of the draft resolution on Georgian refugees will undoubtedly affect the atmosphere of the meeting in Geneva.
The Geneva talks are attended by representatives of the Republic of Abkhazia, Georgia, the Russian Federation, the United States, the Republic of South Ossetia, as well as the UN, the OSCE and the EU.
