Employees of the Stavropol Anti-Plague Institute are providing practical and methodological assistance to their South Ossetian colleagues, - the head of the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee Marina Kochieva told the IA" Res ".

"Another group of specialists has been here for a week, helping us in terms of establishing laboratory work, as we are preparing for cases of an increase in the volume of research. Our specialists are already sufficiently trained, but there are certain nuances that we are bringing to mind," said the chief sanitary doctor.

She expressed gratitude to Russian Consumer Supervision Committee, headed by Anna Popova, for constant assistance and support to the Republic in the fight against coronavirus

"Over the entire period of the threat of coronavirus penetration into the Republic, this is already the fourth group of specialists. Colleagues from the Stavropol Anti-Plague Institute and the Consumer Supervision Committee of North Ossetia provide us with great support. We, of course follow the recommendations they give us to increase the volume and quality of research, "- said Marina Kochieva.

In this regard, according to the head of the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee, the department is actively working with Russian colleges, "we have enlisted the support of the leadership of the Russian Consumer Supervision Committee and the Stavropol Anti-Plague Institute, so that, if necessary, their specialists will help us in the fight against coronavirus."

It should be reminded that in South Ossetia, before the lifting of restrictive measures on the border with Russia on August 15, 90 cases of COVID-19 infection were laboratory confirmed, all patients were in quarantine. On Thursday, in the Republic was detected the first case of coronavirus- a man who arrived from North Ossetia.
