On January 24, a working meeting was held in Moscow between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Dmitry Medoev and the Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly Andrey Belyaninov, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia reported.
"During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on key issues of friendly bilateral relations, discussed the possibility of implementing joint projects and events in the fields of culture and economy.
Taking into account the increasing role of integration processes on the Eurasian continent and attaching great importance to the development of international communication platforms in order to establish humanitarian and business cooperation, an agreement was reached on signing a cooperation agreement and opening a representative office of the Assembly of Peoples of Eurasia in the Republic of South Ossetia," the press service said.
The meeting was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic to the Russian Federation Znaur Gassiev.
The Eurasian Peoples' Assembly is the International Union of non-governmental organizations and citizens with an active life position, sharing and promoting the ideas and values of Eurasian integration, protection of peace, strengthening friendship, harmony, partnership and good neighborliness among peoples.
The International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly" was established at the Constituent Assembly on May 27, 2017.
