Minister of Agriculture of South Ossetia Alan Margiev held a number of working meetings at the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic, the Minister was a member of the South Ossetian delegation that paid a working visit to Moscow headed by Prime Minister Konstantin Dzhussoev.
"During the meeting with the Director of the Department of Crop Production, Mechanization, Chemicalization and Plant Protection of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia Roman Nekrasov, were discussed issues of implementing agricultural activities provided for in the framework of the state program for socio-economic development of South Ossetia for 2022-2025, the possibility of updating the material and technical base of the agricultural sector of our republic," the press service said.
They noted that Alan Margiev had also informed Roman Nekrasov about the results of the 2022 harvesting campaign in South Ossetia, about further plans to upgrade the machine and tractor fleet of SUE Iragropromservis, about the ongoing work to reanimate grain storage and processing enterprises in the near future.
"During the working meeting with Deputy Director of the Department of Veterinary Medicine Andrey Mukovnin, were discussed topical problems in the field of veterinary medicine faced by the Republic were discussed, in particular, the issues of a lack of core specialists, insufficient material and technical equipment of veterinary services," the Ministry of Agriculture stressed.
The press service has added that specific steps have been outlined on all these issues to resolve them.
"Interaction between the relevant departments will continue to be strengthened and developed. At the end of the meetings, Alan Margiev thanked his colleagues for their assistance and support," the Ministry noted.
