On Wednesday Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev took part in the Global Abkhazia Forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia reports.
The Forum raised the topics of integration processes, security issues of Abkhazia, as well as the participation of Abkhazia in the Geneva international discussions on stability and security in Transcaucasia.
The event was held with the participation of the Abkhaz leader Aslan Bzhaniya.
“Akhsar Dzhioev thanked the Foreign Minister of Abkhazia, Inal Ardzinba, for the invitation to take part in the celebrations dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Foreign Ministry of the republic and in the Global Abkhazia Forum, noting the useful format of such a meeting,” the press service said.
The participants of the Forum, which was held at the media center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, were also Secretary of the Security Council Sergei Shamba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua Denis Ronaldo Moncada Colindres, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Russian Federation and concurrently to the Republic of South Ossetia and the Republic of Abkhazia Jesús Rafael Salazar Velasquez, the founder of Ibion Technologies LLC Roman Gromov.
Director of the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova joined the online discussion.
On Wednesday Akhsar Dzhioev also visited the Abkhaz State University, where he met with the rector Aleko Gvaramia, and also held an open lecture for University students.
