Within the framework of the Geneva discussions, the work is carried out not only on the topic of security, but also on the entire aspect of humanitarian problems. This was reported to the media by State Advisor to the President Konstantin Kochiev.

As an example, he has cited the problem of natives of the Kazbegi region (Tyrsygom), who for many years have not been able to access their homes and lands due to a ban by the Georgian authorities.

"This ethnic cleansing went unnoticed by the world media. The gorge has completely lost its Ossetian population. This fate would probably have awaited South Ossetia if Russia had not intervened in August 2008. Today, there is no Ossetian presence in Tyrsygom, and we constantly point out that people are not given the opportunity to visit their native places, visit ancestral shrines and visit the graves of their ancestors,” Kochiev said.

He has emphasized that the issue was acute in the groups that deal with security issues and humanitarian tracks within the framework of discussions.

In addition, among the humanitarian issues, the return of cultural values stolen during the war and other points are discussed.
