Eight COVID patients were admitted to hospitals in South Ossetia in a day, two were discharged

As of the morning of December 19, 69 patients with COVID-19 are being treated in the "red zones" of the Republican Multidisciplinary Medical Center (RMMC) of South Ossetia. This was reported on Saturday to IA "Res" by the chief infectious disease specialist of the Republic, Eleonora Dzhioeva.

“Currently, there are 39 patients in the infectious diseases building of the RMMC, and 30 in the building of the children's hospital,” the doctor said. No fatal cases were recorded in a day.

Assistance to combat the pandemic will be delivered to South Ossetia from the Voronezh region

As part of humanitarian aid, several tons of charitable cargo were sent to South Ossetia from the Voronezh region, the press service of the RSO Embassy in the Russian Federation reports.

The Russian Federation treats South Ossetia as state close in spirit, - Bibilov

President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov took part in the event at the Border Guard Service of the FSB of Russia in South Ossetia, timed to coincide with the Day of the employee of the state security bodies of the Russian Federation, the press service of the head of state reports.

South Ossetia discussed with the head of the ICRC office the issues of providing assistance to residents of border areas

Issues of the ICRC humanitarian assistance to the population of South Ossetia in the context of the fight against the pandemic, primarily to residents of the territories bordering Georgia, were discussed on Friday at the meeting of the RSO Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy for Post-Conflict Settlement Murat Dzhioev and Presidential Ombudsman Inal Tasoev with the head of the ICRC Office in the Republic Carmen Echezaretta.
