The Embassy of South Ossetia in Moscow sent a press release to diplomatic missions on the occasion of the anniversary of the Ered tragedy

On March 18, 2020, in connection with the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Georgian Aggression against South Ossetia, the South Ossetian Embassy in Russia sent a press release on the criminal act of genocide regarding the peaceful Ossetian population on March 18, 1991, the Embassy’s press service reports.

The press release states:

“On March 18, 1991, in the South Ossetian village of Ered, occupied by Georgian armed gangs, twelve civilians of Ossetian nationality were tortured.

The Russian Embassy will consult its citizens in South Ossetia on the border crossing issues

On Thursday, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia received the Note of the Embassy of the Russian Federation to South Ossetia, which informs about the possibility to consult Russian citizens on the issues of returning to the Russian Federation (including those permanently residing in the Republic of South Ossetia) who find themselves in a difficult situation due to the spread of a new coronavirus infection, , the press service of the Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia reports.

Investment program, transportation of goods across the border, reserve power transmission line: Anatoly Bibilov told about the results of the meeting with Vladimir Putin

South Ossetian President Anatoly Bibilov held a meeting with members of the Government following a recent meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the press service of the head of state reports.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Eric Pukhaev, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development Gennady Bekoev, Minister of Finance Aza Khabalova, Minister of Construction Eduard Dzagoev, Minister of Justice Zalina Lalieva.

Anatoly Bibilov has noted that during the meeting in Moscow a wide range of issues was discussed.

Brutally tortured: South Ossetia is paying tribute to the victims of the Ered tragedy

Among the tragic events and dates, with which, by the will of fate, the modern history of Ossetia was saturated, the Ered tragedy occupies a special place. On March 18, 1991, near the village of Ered, with the support of "civilians", Georgian informals put off 25 Ossetians from the Ural military vehicle belonging to the Internal Troops of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The agreement on the mutual recognition of documents on disability of military personnel was signed in Moscow

On Tuesday, in Moscow was signed an agreement on the mutual recognition of documents confirming the fact of disability of persons dismissed from the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of South Ossetia and persons dismissed from the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the press service of the South Ossetian Embassy reports.
