Dmitry Medoev was awarded the badge of the Russian Foreign Ministry "For interaction"

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov presented South Ossetian Foreign Minister Dmitry Medoev with the Russian Foreign Ministry's badge "For Interaction" for his significant contribution to the development of relations between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation, as well as to strengthening security and stability in Transcaucasia.

According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia, the presentation took place during a meeting of the heads of the two departments at the Reception House of the Russian Foreign Ministry at Spiridonovka.

Foreign Ministries of Russia and South Ossetia signed a plan of consultations for 2021-2022

Russia and South Ossetia signed a plan of consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries for 2021-2022. The plan of consultations was signed by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Acting Foreign Minister of South Ossetia Dmitry Medoev.

"Today we will sign a plan for inter-ministerial consultations for 2021-2022, which is aimed at further strengthening our coordination," Lavrov said before the signing ceremony.

35 new cases of coronavirus have been detected over the weekend in South Ossetia

In South Ossetia over the past weekend, 168 people have been tested for COVID-19; 35 tests showed a positive result, Anna Gagloeva, Deputy head of the South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee, Marina Kochieva , told IA "Res" on Monday.

“35 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in the Republic over the weekend, the total number of cases reached 2,740,” Kochieva said.

According to her, during the pandemic, 15008 tests have been done in the PCR laboratory of South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee .
