South Ossetia handed over to Georgia two of its citizens who served their sentences for illegally crossing the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia, the press service of the KGB of the Republic reports.

The previously detained Georgian citizens Tenadze Leonid, born in 1979, and Tenadze Tariel, born in 1986, residents of the village of Plavismani in the Gori municipality, were found guilty by the Tskhinval District Court of illegally crossing the state border and sentenced to imprisonment.

In Tskhinval, Ilya Siukaev, a participant in the special military operation, was bidden farewell. His life was tragically cut short on May 25 in Gorlovka while performing his military duty.

The young fighter was killed as a result of a mortar attack on the car in which he was heading on a combat mission.

Hundreds of the South Ossetian residents gathered to pay their respect and bid farewell to Siukaev on his final journey.

South Ossetia is preparing to enter the Russian market with a unique product — pink marble. The natural stone mining and processing company Impuls-A has begun to develop a quarry, where industrial mining of the elite stone will begin in the near future.

As reported to IA "Res" by the company's General Director Elbrus Kochiev, partners from the largest cities in Russia have already shown interest in South Ossetian marble.

The South Ossetian State University Museum received the Austrian coin of 1780 as a gift from the official representative of the Republic's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Austria, Patrick Poppel, the University's press service reports.

The South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev has received the Republic's representative in Austria, Patrick Poppel, who is in Tskhinval on a working visit, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.

"During the meeting, issues of expanding cooperation and strengthening international ties have been discussed. Patrick Poppel told about his activities to convey objective information about the history and culture of the Republic to the world community," the press service has noted.

The preliminary meetings of the Geneva Discussions Co-Chairs are important. The presence of all participants at the talks demonstrates their commitment to the process, the OSCE Co-Chair Christophe Späth said during the press conference.

"During the preliminary meetings, it is important to find out the priority topics for the participants in the discussions. We are all grateful that we had a very detailed discussion today," he has noted.

Christophe Späth has stressed that the positions of the parties differ greatly.

Following the 63rd round of the Geneva discussions on security in Transcaucasia, encouraging signals emerged regarding the possibility of developing and signing the agreement on the non-use of force. This was stated in Tskhinval on Tuesday by the head of the South Ossetian delegation, State Advisor to President Konstantin Kochiev, at the meeting with the co-chairs of the Geneva discussions.

He also pointed to positive changes in the perception of the events of 2008 in Georgia.

Products of the South Ossetian canning plant "Subira AV" are presented on the largest marketplace Wildberries.

Pastila of two types can now be ordered throughout the territory of the Russian Federation, - said the trade representative of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation Taimuraz Goginov.

"The first deliveries have started, and in the online store "Wildberries" one can already order products produced in South Ossetia.

In Tskhinval, on Monday, President Alan Gagloev met with the families of soldiers killed in the line of military duty during the special military operation.

The meeting was also attended by Presidential Aide Alan Pliev and children's ombudsman Aelita Dzhioeva.

On behalf of the head of state, lump-sum payments were handed over to the children of the fallen soldiers in honor of Children's Day.
