In South Ossetia, Valery Gergiev is loved not only for his contribution to the world musical culture, but also for his civic position, for the great support he provided to the people of the Republic. This is stated in a congratulatory message of President Alan Gagloev to the artistic director - director of the State Academic Mariinsky Theater Valery Gergiev in connection with his 70th anniversary.

The South Ossetian choreographic group "Iron", the folk dance  group "Fidan" from North Ossetia and the folk group "Rodoslav" from Luansk for the first time held a joint concert "Peace-Dance-Friendship" on the stage of the South Ossetian State Drama Theater in Tskhinval.

The dance festival was opened by the famous Ossetian folk dance "Simd" performed by the "Iron" group. About 15 numbers were shown to the audience this evening. Seven of them – "Simd", "Honga", "Gorsky", etc. – were performed  by "Iron".

President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev congratulated the employees of the Border Guard Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Republic on the 14th anniversary of its formation.

President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev have addressed fellow citizens in connection with the 32nd anniversary of the earthquake in Dzau district, which caused numerous casualties and destruction.

"32 years ago, on April 29, 1991, Republic of South Ossetia experienced a terrible tragedy - an earthquake in Dzau district. A natural disaster divided our life into "before" and "after."

The events dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Georgian military aggression were held in the village of Tsinagar in the Leningor district of South Ossetia. They were attended by Prime Minister of the Republic Konstantin Dzhussoev, the press service of the government reports.

In South Ossetia, a new procedure for obtaining passes for crossing the South Ossetian-Georgian border has been introduced for residents of the Ksani Gorge and the Sinagur-Karzman zone. This was reported by the press service of the State Security Committee of the Republic.

According to the Committee, from now on, the established set of documents is submitted by the applicant to the administration of the Leningor or Dzau districts, which sends them to the KGB of the Republic of South Ossetia.

South Ossetia and Abkhazia will take part in the Caucasian Investment Exhibition and present their expositions, the Roscongress Foundation reports.

The Caucasian Investment Exhibition will be held on May 3-4 at the MinvodyExpo exhibition center in Mineralnye Vody. The starting day of the exhibition is May 2. The business program of the exhibition is published on the official website.

The crimes committed by Georgia, which still does not abandon its revanchist impulses against South Ossetia, do not have a statute of limitations, and all participants in the Ossetian genocide must be severely punished. President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev visited the location of the Ossetian fighters in Melitopol and delivered another batch of humanitarian aid to the military personnel of the 4th military base, volunteers from the Alania and Storm battalions. This was announced by the press secretary of the President Natalya Bosikova.
