June 27, South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov in response to the appeal of the authorities of the Donetsk People's Republic signed an Executive Order, recognizing the DPR as the independent sovereign state.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia calls on the international community
and human rights organizations to pay attention to the human rights situation in Georgia. This is stated in the official comment of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic in connection with the statements of Western politicians about the deteriorating living conditions and human rights violation in South Ossetia.
Assistant to the President of Russia for interaction with South Ossetia and Abkhazia Vladislav Surkov , arrived in South Ossetia on a working visit, has met in Tskhinval with MPs of the sixth convocation. The meeting was also attended by the President of the Republic Leonid Tibilov. At the beginning of the meeting the head of state congratulated the deputies elected to the Parliament.
Vladislav Surkov also congratulated the deputies and drew attention to the significant renewal of the legislative body. He thanked the previous parliament for fruitful and effective joint activities.
For several years, the UN General Assembly has been adopting the draft resolution introduced by Georgia on refugees and internally displaced persons from Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Repeating from year after year the text of the document, Georgia tries to impose on the world community one-sided, politicized and distorted vision of the refugee question, in order to back up its illegitimate territorial claims.
In Geneva completed the 28 round of international discussions on security in Transcaucasia. As the news agency "Res" has been informed over the phone from Geneva by Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy of South Ossetia for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev, the main issue for discussion was to ensure security of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
Participants of the 28 round of international discussions on security and stability in Transcaucasia, which will be held June 18 in Geneva, intend to continue a discussion of the document on the non-use of force, as well as the situation at the state border between South Ossetia and Georgia.
A group of experts of the Ministry of Health of Russia arrived in South Ossetia. During the meeting with Russian colleagues Acting Health Minister Grigory Kulidzhanov expressed his gratitude for their assistance in development of health care in South Ossetia.

This was stated by the President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov at a state reception on the occasion of Russia Day in the Russian Embassy in the Republic of South Ossetia, where were also invited members of the government, MPs, heads of the town and district administrations, representatives of scientific and creative intelligentsia of the Republic.
In the course of the meeting in the format of Mechanisms to prevent and respond to incidents (MPRI) South Ossetian delegation expressed concern about a hunger strike of prisoners in Georgia, said after the meeting Deputy Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy of South Ossetia on post conflict settlement Khokh Gagloyty. Georgian delegation has reported that the convicts to life imprisonment are dissatisfied that they were not included in the amnesty and there were not bettered conditions after the change of political leadership in Georgia.
Prospects of bilateral relations between South Ossetia and the State of Eritrea were discussed at a meeting of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov with members of the Eritrean delegation headed by Foreign Minister Osman Saleh.
