Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia has made today a statement in connection with an armed provocation of Georgia at the border of the Republic.
"What has happened at the border cannot be regarded only as a dangerous provocation; this is a consequence of the policy of the Georgian authorities, who for the last months have been accumulating the police and military presence at the border of the Republic of South Ossetia", - said the Minister.

Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of South Ossetia for post-conflict settlement informed the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia of the fact of firing the KGB Border Guard post in the village of Karzman in Dzausky District.

Last night at 3:40 am in the village of Karzman in Dzausky district of South Ossetia with small arms and grenade launchers was fired the Border Patrol post of KGB of South Ossetia.

The government of South Ossetia at the today`s meeting approved a resolution to abolish a simplified regime of crossing the state border of Georgia by the villagers of Artsev in Tskhinval district of the Republic. The delegation from China and South Korea has offered the prime minister to cooperate in the construction and infrastructure development of South Ossetia.
