The question of entering the Russian Federation in the World Trade Organization (WTO) will not be connected with the Georgian ambitions on checking up the border of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. It has been declared IA "Res" by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Murat Dzhioev, commenting the position of Georgia related to joining Russia in the WTO. "This question was being discussed between Russia and Georgia in the course of many years, but the authorities of Georgia politicize this problem using the incorrect comic elements. The question of entering Russia in WTO will not be connected with the Georgian ambitions on controlling the neighboring sovereign states – the Republic of South Ossetia and Abkhazia", - has declared the Head of the foreign policy department of the RSO. Dzhioev has noted that checking up the pass system on the boundary of Russia, South Ossetia and Abkhazia is only the business of these states establishing their relationship based on the contractual Law in accordance with the international standards. «Georgia has not to apply to these states, as to the bilateral relations of any other state" - has emphasized the Minister.

On 18 May, near the village Lopan in Znaurskiy region a group of the Georgian citizens, residing at the territory of South Ossetia illegally, were detained by the border guards of the Border service of the KGB of South Ossetia in the course of the actions on guarding the boundary. It has been reported IA "Res" by the press-service of the KGB of the RSO.

The measures on providing the passport system, which has started today on 17 May, were discussed at the government session of the Republic. As noted by the chairman of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister of the government of the RSO Domenty Kulumbegov, the lack of the passport forms upon the model of 2006 has become a problem for many inhabitants of South Ossetia in getting the principal document, certifying the citizenship of the RSO.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia has sent its congratulations to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Finance of the Republic of Nauru on the occasion of the Constitution Day of the Republic of Nauru. Constitution is not only the attribute of the statehood, but also the legislative confirmation of the will of people, expressed in the course of elections and referendum, the warranty of equal facilities, protection of rights and civil liberties of people, the guarantee of democratic changes, occurring in any society.

The world sport championship on weights among the veterans has taken place in the Belorussian city Vitebsk on March 31-April 4. The athlete from Archangel Vladislav Zhgilev, representing South Ossetia has become the gold prizewinner among the veterans of the age group- 65-69 years. Zhgilev has won the gold medal of the world championship twice, competing for the part of South Ossetia in the weight class before 110 kg. Today the veteran of the weight sport has arrived in Tskhinval and at the ceremony has handed on the won medals to the management of physical culture and sport of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth Policy of the RSO.

The position of the senators L.Trem and D.Shakhin is their personal opinion, and I hope, it will not dominate at the Senate of the USA considering the policy of "reset". Neither South Ossetia, nor Abkhazia pretend to another’s territories and want to live with the surrounding countries in peace, without infringing the rights of the neighboring people.

On 17 May the opening of a personal exhibition of the honorable member of the Russian Academy of Art, a well-earned artist of North Ossetia and a national artist of South Ossetia Ushang Kozaev will take place in the State Exhibition Hall "The New Manege" in Moscow. Being a very bright master of brush, Ushang Kozaev has been working in the abstract style, having his original manner.

The Foreign Minister of the Republic of South Ossetia Murat Dzhioev has arrived for a two-day working visit in the Republic of Abkhazia. In the course of the visit from 13-14 May 2011 the meetings with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia Sergey Shamba and also with the Foreign Minister of Abkhazia Maxim Gvindzhia have taken place.

But I also hope that they will keep the same position in regard to our countries. What about the above mentioned "Russian troops" we must underline that the population of South Ossetia and Abkhazia appealed to Russia themselves for rendering them military aid and to prevent another aggression for the part of Georgia, they were being undergone since 90-th. The relevant agreements have been signed for this purpose.

The co-chairmen of the Geneva debates have recently met with the inhabitants of Leningorskiy region of the Republic of South Ossetia. The meeting has been arranged by the .South-Ossetian delegation at the Geneva consultations on request of the co-chairmen. As reported IA "Res" by the Deputy Plenipotentiary of the President of the RSO on the post conflict settlement Merab Chigoev, the "meeting turned out to be unexpectedly saturated and all the co-chairmen were highly interested in the discussion of all the issues. "The delegation has visited the house-museum of the ksani Eristavi, where the director of the museum has organized the excursion for us. The co-chairmen were interested in the exhibits, being demonstrated in the museum. We have explained that Eristavi were migrated many ages ago from the North Ossetia, their real surname was Bibilovy, and they converted the job title ' « Eristavi» into their surname", - has noted Chigoev.
