The head of the Representative office of South Ossetia in Transnistria took part in the funeral ceremony of the remains of the Unknown Soldier
On April 16, the remains of the Unknown Soldier, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, perished in 1944, were reburied at the Memorial of Military Glory in Tiraspol.
The head of the South Ossetian representative office in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, Vitaly Yankovsky, took part in the funeral procession, memorial service for the dead, and the ceremony of laying fresh flowers.
The soldier's remains were discovered the day before during excavations near the village of Parkany. The name of the defender of the Fatherland remains unknown.
