Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia

Last Thursday, June 21, 2012 in St. Petersburg started the XVI International Economic Forum, which will last for three days. The Russian delegation headed by Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev has arrived on an official visit in South Ossetia. In Tskhinval the delegation met with President Leonid Tibilov. The head of the state and guests, accompanied by members of the Government of the Republic, went to Leningor District of South Ossetia, where they became familiar with the construction of social and infrastructural facilities.

Dance group "Ars" will take part in the International festival "Students spring of the CIS in the Caucasus", which will be held in the capital of the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria on June16 - 18.

The Scythian-Alan community in Crimea (Ukraine) appealed to the President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov for assistance in restoration of historical monuments in the Crimea, connected with the historical legacy of the ancestors of the Ossetians.
This has been said IA "Res" by the chairman of the community Kchariton Khachirov. According to him, members of the community hope that the leadership of South Ossetia will turn to the authorities of Ukraine to transfer sponsorship over the Scythian and Alan monuments to the Ossetian Diaspora.

The preparation of the South Ossetian delegation for the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg was discussed at the today's meeting headed by the South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov.
