President of the Republic of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov and Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Vladislav Surkov met with the heads of contractors involved in the construction in the framework of the Investment Program to promote socio- economic development of South Ossetia in 2014.

In Istanbul (Turkey) are completed the events held in the framework of the program «Days of Ossetian culture in Europe». As the news agency " Res" has been reported by the program organizer, the head of the International non-profit association «Renaissance Sandidzan» Radion Pukhaev, in the Turkish capital were held round tables, exhibitions, book presentations, performed Ossetian musicians.
"The events took place at a very high level - said Pukhaev. - They culminated in the exhibition of the Ossetian artists "Art-Art", which has drawn a wide response. The exhibition was supposed to close on January 31, but at the request of the owners of the gallery, it was extended."
Pukhaev has noted that the program "Days of Ossetian culture in Europe" will be continued in Paris, Brussels, Rome.
"The purpose of our activities is to acquaint the world community with the Ossetian culture, school of painting and Ossetia as a whole, the establishment of closer cultural ties between Ossetia and Europe,"- said Pukhaev.
He has added that this summer in Tskhinval, Vladikavkaz, Sukhum and Moscow is planned to hold a series of exhibitions "Europe through the eyes of Ossetian artists."

The opening ceremony of the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi in its scope and scale eclipsed all previous similar events, said the President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov on returning to Tskhinval from Sochi, where he had participated in the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.
"This is an important event not only in the sports life of Russia, it is another powerful statement of Russia and we in South Ossetia should be proud that we have such a strategic partner and ally like Russia," - said the President during a meeting with heads of security, defence and law enforcement agencies.
The Head of State has noted that the presence at such an important event as the Olympic Games in Sochi is the evidence that the coordination between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation continues to strengthen.
"The Olympic Games in the life of the Russian state has shown that Russia is moving forward, strengthening its position. Together with its ally is also building and strengthening its statehood South Ossetia", - said the head of state, adding that "everyone should feel a party to this process."
The President has noted that the scope and scale of the opening ceremony of the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi has eclipsed all previous similar events. He has also wished success to the national team of Russia.
"The first medals have already been won. I think that Russian athletes will gain a lead at the Olympics,"- said the President.
