South Ossetian representatives will take part in the First Review Conference of the OSCE. As David Sanakoev, Plenipotentiary for Human Rights, told IA RES, the conference will be held from September 30 to October 8 in Poland.
"South Ossetia will be represented by a delegation of five people, representatives of public organizations of the Republic", explained Sanakoev.
According to him, the main topic of the conference is protection of human rights.
"The aim of the conference is to prepare for the forthcoming OSCE summit in December, review of implementation of existing OSCE principles and commitments in all dimensions of the organization", said Sanakoev. "The OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev, the president of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, and many others will make their statements. Reports will be heard on ''Citizenship and Political Rights,'' ''Freedom of assembly and associations'', ''National human rights institutions and the role of civil society in human rights protection'' and so on. "
He also explained that the Conference will be held in three phases - in Warsaw, Vienna and Astana.
