President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev presented state awards to representatives of various spheres of the Republic's life.
The award ceremony took place on Friday at the Presidential Executive Office of South Ossetia.
The head of state congratulated those present on the holiday and wished them success, kindness and a peaceful sky over their heads.
“Most residents of South Ossetia are citizens of the Russian Federation. And I cannot but congratulate you on today's significant holiday - National Unity Day.
I want to thank you for your selfless work. Each of you contributes to the development of our Republic. I wish you new and great achievements,” he said.
Alan Gagloev has also noted that many fighters from South Ossetia, along with Russian servicemen, are participating in the special military operation to protect the Donbass. The head of state expressed hope that they would return safely to their families.
