A screening of the new Russian feature film "Nuremberg" based on real events took place at the State Cinema Concert Hall "Chermen" in Tskhinval on Monday.
The film was presented by the leading actor in the film, the well-known Russian theater and film actor Igor Petrenko.
Prime Minister Konstantin Dzhussoev, Ambassador Marat Kulakhmetov, Minister of Culture Rada Dzagoeva, Rector of the South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev, schoolchildren, students, and lovers of Russian cinema came to watch the film, the screening of which was organized by the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in South Ossetia.,
The head of the Rossotrudnichestvo (Russian House) office in South Ossetia, Sergey Skvortsov, welcomed the guests of the event, noting that the memory of the Great Patriotic War did not end on May 9th.
“The memory of those times is always alive,” said Skvortsov. - I am especially pleased that in the Republic, as well as in most countries of the world, they know and remember what the Second World and Patriotic War is. Moreover, here in the Republic the preservation of historical memory, the truth is put at the state level.
Then Igor Petrenko took the stage and addressed the audience with the words, "Hello, dear South Ossetia."
“My sister's husband is also Ossetian, from South Ossetia. And I know firsthand the traditions and culture of Ossetians. I never cease to be amazed at the family foundations and personal qualities of these people. The unification of different cultures enriches our life,” said Petrenko.
The actor came to South Ossetia for the second time. For the first time, he visited the Republic in 2018, with the premiere of the Russian action movie "The Decision to Liquidate".
“I hope that this is only the beginning of our communication, friendship,” Petrenko said. – I have wonderful warm memories of my first trip to the Republic. There are many beautiful places where one want to go, wonderful people, culture and traditions.”
Another guest of honor of the event was the wife of the actor Christina Brodskaya.
Petrenko has noted that he took his companion with him to South Ossetia so that she could feel the warmth, love, and beauty of this country.
Talking about the film "Nuremberg", Petrenko has noted that the picture tells about the general history of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.
“This is our common history; South Ossetia is famous for its heroes in the Great Patriotic War. Our grandfathers stood shoulder to shoulder, protecting the light. And today we are again standing shoulder to shoulder and continue this battle, - the actor noted. - It is a great honor for me to participate in this film. I understand the importance and responsibility of this topic, such films, because this is not just a trial of the winners, it is a trial of light over evil.
Petrenko has said that every one and a half months, when he gets the opportunity, he goes to the front line in the special military operation zone to support the guys.
“I know about the tragedies, the names of the guys from South Ossetia who have gone into eternity. Honor and praise to them for their courage, - Petrenko has emphasized. “Of course we will win, we have no other choice.”
The action of the film «Nuremberg" is taking place in 1945. The International Military Tribunal begins its work in Nuremberg. The court, which will later be called the Trial of the Century, attracts a huge number of people from all over the world, the city is crowded with journalists, lawyers, translators, witnesses and many participants and employees of the process.
