The South Ossetian State University will sign the agreement on cooperation with a number of universities from far abroad, Vadim Tedeev, rector of the South Ossetian State University, said at the press conference in Tskhinval.
Tedeev has stressed that over the past ten years, the South Ossetian University has concluded more than 70 cooperation agreements with the leading universities of the Russian Federation and the foreign countries.
“The South Ossetian State University is also entering the foreign universities, which is very important. Recently, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua and Ambassadors of this republic to Russia and South Ossetia have visited our university. We were talking about improving interuniversity relations. Ambassadors of Venezuela to Russia and South Ossetia also paid a working visit to our university, and a warm and confidential conversation took place. They have an understanding of the need for cooperation between our universities,” he said.
As emphasized by the rector, the university also is also entering those countries that have not recognized the independence of South Ossetia to date.
“Syria, one of the universities in Egypt, the Sultanate of Oman, etc. expressed their consent in principle to cooperate and sign the agreement with our university. We will be closely looking at the cultures of their countries with great interest,”- said Vadim Tedeev.
