The South Ossetian athlete Arsen Dzhioev will compete for a medal at the World Freestyle Wrestling Championship.

The large-scale competition will be held from October 23 to 25 in Tirana (Albania) among wrestlers under 23 years old, the athlete himself told IA “Res”.

“I will step on the mat on October 25. I will compete in the weight class up to 86 kg. I am actively preparing for the championship, now I am undergoing the training in Baku,” Dzhioev said.

Arsen will compete for the Azerbaijani national team.

The performance on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow as part of the Ossetian Culture Days united the Ossetian and Russian cultures, Vadim Sanakoev, acting director of the Simd State Song and Dance Group, told reporters.
