On June, 8 the Round table of creative intelligentsia from Ossetia, Russia and the countries of Europe «The Cooperation Bridges» has taken place in the Russian centre of science and culture in Brussels. The Round table has been organized by the International association of the Ossetian societies "Renaissance" and the Gallery "IR-ART". The action has been timed to several dates: the Independence Day of the Republic of South Ossetia, the Independence Day of the Russian Federation and to the City Day of Vladikavkaz which are celebrated on May, 29, on June, 12 and on June, 11 accordingly.

The exhibition of the Ossetian artists is being held in Belgium. - The IA "Res» have been informed at the Ministry of Culture of the RSO. «On the eighth of June, on the eve of celebrating the Day of Russia, the exhibition under the name “Reflection”, where the pictures of three talented Ossetian artists» are presented, has been opened in Brussels, - the Ministry has reported. It has been noticed that the organizers of the exhibition are the International association of the Ossetian societies "Renaissance", the gallery "Ir-Art" and the Russian centre of science and culture in Brussels.«The pictures of three talented Ossetian artists- Vadim Pukhaev, Igor Toguzaev and Vadim Tsalikov- are presented at the exhibition », - have been informed at the Ministry. Today - on June, 10 another exhibition of the series "Reflection" will be opened in France; the works of Vadim Pukhaev, Igor Toguzaev, Vadim Tsalikov, Fatima Alikova and Aleksandra Poljanina will be presented there.

The delegation of South Ossetia will take part in the international conference «The Eastern policy of the European Union» which will be held from 10 to 11 June, at the free university named after Chernorizts in Varna. The delegation will include the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament of the RSO, the Candidate for Philology Mira Tskhovrebova and the Vice-President of the Society of the South-Ossetian-Bulgarian friendship, a political scientist Inal Pliev. As the member of the delegation Inal Pliev has informed the IA "Res", it is planned to discuss the aspects of the European foreign policy, the eastern accents of the European economy, power and safety at the conference.

Press release of delegation of the Republic of South Ossetia at the Geneva international discussions about the sixteenth meeting within the frames of the international discussions on safety and stability in Transcaucasia

On May, 7, 2011 the sixteenth round of the Geneva international discussions on safety and stability in Transcaucasia has come to the end. Delegations of the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Abkhazia and Georgia, the Russian Federation, the USA and also representatives of the EU, the United Nations and the OSCE have taken part in the work of the meeting. The delegation of the Republic of South Ossetia was headed by the Plenipotentiary of the President of the RSO Boris Chochiev. The work was being carried out by two groups. The group on safety has exchanged opinions on current situation at the places recognized as the tense ones. The delegation of South Ossetia has paid attention to the facts of deliberate infringement of the border and unwillingness of the Georgian authorities to cooperate in definition of the line of passage on the border.

In connection with the draught resolution submitted by Georgia to the General Assembly of the United Nations about the position of temporary displaced persons and refugees from Abkhazia and South Ossetia

At 63 and 64 sessions of the General Assembly of the United Nations (in 2009 and in 2010y.y.) the draught resolution on refugees and internally displaced persons from Abkhazia and South Ossetia submitted by Georgia was being adopted. Thereby behind the reference to the humanitarian problems the Georgian side tries to thrust its extremely distorted vision of the refugee problem on the world community, and thereby supports its claims on the territory of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. In the next draught resolution on refugees and internally displaced persons submitted by Georgia to the GA of the UN, which does not differ from the resolutions of the GA of the UN adopted earlier, it is said about the confirmation of rights of all the internally displaced persons and refugees and also their descendants on returning «in their houses all over the territory of Georgia, including Abkhazia and South Ossetia».

Georgia is not ready to sign the document on non-use of force against South Ossetia and Abkhazia. It has been reported the IA «Res» by the head of the South-Ossetian delegation at the Geneva debates, the Plenipotentiary of the President of the RSO on questions of the post conflict settlement Boris Chochiev over the phone from Geneva, following the results of the 16 round of the Geneva discussions. As he said, the meeting was very hard as the Georgian party behaved itself extremely incorrectly. «The Georgian side feels pressure on the part of the international organizations, - the Plenipotentiary has noted. - the international community, unlike the post conflict period (the Georgian aggression in August, 2008 - a comment of the editor) when it had not trustworthy information, has already received it, and now it makes conclusions about Georgia which has been recognized as the country-aggressor in the report of Taliavini».

The delegation of South Ossetia will take part in celebrating the Days of the Ossetian youth in Dagestan. It has been reported the IA «Res» by the head of the department of youth policy under the Ministry of Education Emilija Gagieva. As she has said, the action was organized within the framework of friendship and cooperation, signed between the Management of youth policy of the RSO and the Committee on youth affairs of the Republic of Dagestan.

Within the frames of celebrating the Day of Russia a round table on a theme «Russia and South Ossetia - dynamics of strengthening friendship and cooperation» will be conducted in Tskhinval. The action has been organized by the republican political party "Unity".

About a forthcoming round of the Geneva discussions on safety and stability in Transcaucasia

On June, 7 in Geneva the sixteenth round of the international discussions on stability and safety in Transcaucasia is planned to be held. Since October, 2008 the representatives of the Republic of Abkhazia, Georgia, the Russian Federation, the United States of America, the Republic of South Ossetia, and also the United Nation, the OSCE and the EU have been participating in the Geneva meetings on an equal basis. The Russian delegation will be headed by the Secretary of State - the Deputy Minister of Foreign affairs of the Russian Federation-G.B.Karasin.

The sixteenth round of the international debates on questions of stability and safety in Transcaucasia is being planned to be held in Geneva from 5 to 8 June. The South-Ossetian delegation will include the leader of the South-Ossetian delegation in Geneva, the Plenipotentiary of the President of the RSO on questions of the post conflict settlement Boris Chochiev, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the RSO, Murat Dzhioev, the State Counsellor of the President of the RSO Konstantin Kochiev, the Representative of the President of the RSO on human rights David Sanakoev, the Deputy Plenipotentiary Merab Chigoev.
