Today the Central Election Committee of South Ossetia has registered the Chairman of the State Committee for Information and Mass Communications of the RSO Georgy Kabisov and the deputy of the Parliament of the RSO (Communist Party) Merab Chigoev as the presidential candidates. As informed by the Central Election Committee of the RSO to IA RES, today the Central Election Committee has refused registration of the businessman Akhsar Vaneev and the General Director of the public corporation «Stroyprogress" Albert Dzhussoev.

Today the Central Election Committee of the RSO has registered the ex-Minister for Education of the RSO Alla Dzhioeva and the head of the computer diagnostics branch of the Republican hospital Dzhemal Dzhigkaev as the presidential candidates.

Today the Central Election Committee of the RSO has registered Alan Kotaev (the First Deputy of the Head of the Administration of Tskhinval) and Anatoly Bibilov (the Minister for Emergency Situations of the RSO) as the presidential candidates. It has been informed the IA RES at the Central Election Committee of the RSO.

The Central Election Committee of the RSO has registered Dmitry Tasoev (the leader of the Social-Democratic party liquidated in March, 2011 at the suit of the Ministry of Justice of the RSO)and Ajvar Bestaev(the branch manager of the Republican hospital of Tskhinval). AsIA REShas been informed at the Central Election Committee of the RSO,the registration certificates were also issued to the initiative groups supporting Eduard Gabaraev (artillery commander of the Ministry of Defence of the RSO), Inal Bazzaev (the deputy of the Parliament of the RSO) and Igor Alborov (the Deputy Minister of Defence of the RSO).

The government of South Ossetia has made a decision to prolong the term of stay of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) representation in the Republic. This relevant resolution has been adopted at the today's session of the government, conducted by the Prime Minister Vadim Brovtsev. The question was brought up for discussion by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the RSO Murat Dzhioev.According to the adopted resolution, the term of stay of ICRC in South Ossetia is prolonged till October, 1, 2012.

The Central Election Committee of South Ossetia has refused registration to the initiative groups, nominating Vasily Bestaev (a member of the Advocatory chamber of the RSO-Alania) and Lev Gagiev (a surgeon of the Republican somatic hospital) for presidential election.

On September, 29 the delegation of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation is expected to visit South Ossetia within the frames of the inter-parliamentary cooperation between Russia and South Ossetia.As reported to IA RES by the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament of the RSO Yury Dzitstsoity, the delegation will be headed by the first Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Council of Federation on defence and safety Evgeniy Serebrennikov.

The EU, OSCE and the United Nations co-chairmen of the Geneva discussions on safety in Transcaucasia have arrived in Tskhinval with a working visit. The delegation has met with the Plenipotentiary of the President on post conflict settlement Boris Chochiev and members of the RSO delegation at the Geneva discussions. The delegation has included thenew EU co-chairman Phillip Lefor. Boris Chochiev has congratulated Lefor on his appointment, having noted that South Ossetia will co-operate with him as with the co-chairman of the Geneva discussions, but not as with the special EU representative in the Southern Caucasus.Boris Chochiev has presented a summary of the situation in South Ossetia.

On September, 24 the Central Election Committee of the RSO has accepted the documents set from the initiative groups, nominating Batradz Dzutstsaty (the chairman of the social movement «Ossetia for democracy») and Lev Gagiev (a surgeon of the Republican somatic hospital) for presidential election in South Ossetia. As the Central Election Committee has informed the IA RES, at present the subscription lists have been submitted by the initiative groups of Vadim Tskhovrebov, Dmitry Tasoev and Dzhambolat Tedeev. For today (September, 26) 24 initiative groups and two political parties, nominating the candidates for presidential election in the RSO on November, 13 have addressed to the Central Election Committee of South Ossetia. All the initiative groups, except for Alan Pliev, Vasily Bestaev, Batradz Dzutstsaty and Lev Gagiev have already received certificates on registration at the Central Election Committee.

The Central Election Committee of the RSO has accepted today a set of documents from the initiative group, nominating Vasily Bestaev - a member of the Advocatory chamber of the RSO-Alania- for presidential election in South Ossetia. It has been informed the News agency "Res" at the Central Election Committee of the RSO.
