The Russian draft treaty on alliance and integration between South Ossetia and Russia, taking into account the proposals of the South Ossetian side will be discussed by the bilateral working group

To eliminate the different interpretations of the preliminary draft Treaty on the alliance and integration, a press Secretary of the President of South Ossetia Ghana Yanovskaya has spread the following information:
The military-political situation developing in the world in general and in the Caucasus region in particular strongly requires the coordination of manpower and resources to create a single defense contour.
To achieve this goal it is necessary to establish the legal basis of the conditions and mechanisms for achieving this target.
The basic document in this regard will be the Treaty of alliance and integration between South Ossetia and Russia.
Public attention to the relevant for South Ossetia document is high, that has led to the unnecessary politicization of this question. It is unacceptable to use the most important for the people of South Ossetia treaty for personal and partisan interests. But, unfortunately, many of the leaders of the South Ossetian parties use this question for personal purposes, being able to play on the emotions and sentiments of citizens of the Republic that cause a stir in public opinion with a view to making a split in our society, and even to destabilize the socio-political situation in the country.
In this regard, many citizens of the Republic wonder what the Treaty on alliance and the integration is.
According to the decision of the Political Council under the President of the Republic of South Ossetia January 21, 2015, as a basis for further discussion was adopted a preliminary draft Treaty on alliance and integration between South Ossetia and Russia, developed by the Russian side, taking into account the proposals of the South Ossetian side.

The consolidated draft Treaty of the working group of the Political Council, but not a project of individual citizens, as some are trying to present it - is the result of nearly six weeks of the work of the Political Council and the working group, which has included practically all the political forces and members of the public, legislative and executive authorities.
The work on the project began with the fact that the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov December 15, 2014, proposed to members of the council, the executive authorities, the Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia, members of the public and citizens to submit their proposals to the Political Council under the President of the Republic of South Ossetia concerning the vision of the future draft treaty.
Within two weeks the Administration of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, the Working Group received numerous suggestions which have been compiled in one form or another are reflected in the consolidated project. This project was sent to the Russian side, which has prepared the draft Treaty on alliance and integration between South Ossetia and Russia, taking into account the proposals of the South Ossetian side, which will be discussed by the bilateral working group and there are no other versions for the future Treaty between the two countries.
The Political Council under the President of South Ossetia could not consider all suggestions, including the so-called versions of this Agreement.
At the present time, as previously reported, is being established a joint working group of South Ossetia and Russia, which will start discussing the preliminary draft Treaty between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation on alliance and integration. The work on the project will take into account the suggestions of relevant ministries and agencies.
The leadership of the state informs the citizens of the Republic of South Ossetia, that it will bring the work on the document to its logical conclusion, based on two main principles: its integration orientation and compliance with the interests of both countries.
