Today, September 9, South Ossetia is celebrating the seventh anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation.
September 9, 2008, following the historic decision of the leadership of the Russian Federation to recognize the independence of South Ossetia, was another confirmation of the assistance and support that Russia is providing to South Ossetia.
People of South Ossetia appreciate and are grateful for the efforts of the Russian Federation to sustain socio-economic development of South Ossetia and advancing its position in the international arena, as well as the maintenance of peace and stability.
To date, the level of the allied relations between Russia and South Ossetia is very high and this is evidenced by a large number of intergovernmental agreements in various fields, as well as the Agreement on Integration and Cooperation, signed between the two countries March 18, 2015.
The integration process is going on, which is confirmed by the foreign policy of the Russian Federation, determined by Presidential Decree, issued May 7, 2012, which is being actively implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

In Tskhinval took place a meeting of the President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov with the People's Artist of Russia Sergei Bezrukov. The meeting was also attended by People's Artist of Russia, Ukraine, North and South Ossetia Larisa Gergieva, director of the National State Opera and Ballet Anatoly Galaov, director and playwright Anna Mathison, as well as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Ossetia in the Russian Znaur Gassiyev.

The Head of State welcomed the guests and noted that "this evening is a great event in the cultural life of the Republic."
"Your visit is sure to leave its mark on the cultural life of the Republic. We are pleased to welcome you to our land. Our fellow citizens are happy that they can enjoy the works of Sergei Bezrukov, "- the president said.
He has also noted that the recital is held on the day of establishment diplomatic relations between South Ossetia and Russia.

In turn, Sergei Bezrukov thanked the President of the Republic for the reception.
"The hospitality here is at the highest level. Today, I`ll try to read Russian poetry and the classics. These places are associated with times of Great Russian classics, they loved the entire Caucasus, I would like to see the Caucasus living in peace, friendship and harmony, "- he said.
During the meeting, Larisa Gergieva has also noted the positive changes that have occurred over the past two years in Tskhinval.
"I always come with great joy to South Ossetia, and I always feel here like at home - she said. - Over the past two years the city has changed for the better. Tomorrow I will open my annual festival in Vladikavkaz and, by tradition, the part of the festival will be held in Tskhinval and this tradition should be strengthened. "
Gergieva has also expressed gratitude to the Ambassador of South Ossetia to Russia, who has assisted in the visit of Sergei Bezrukov in South Ossetia.

It should be noted that the recital of the outstanding Russian actor Sergei Bezrukov in Tskhinval is part of the Festival "Visiting Larisa Gergieva."
