Anatoly Bibilov instructed to work out the issue of vaccination

President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov instructed the Acting Health Minister Georgy Totchiev to work out the issues of vaccination against COVID-19. The head of state gave the order to the official during the meeting of the operational staff in Tskhinval on Wednesday.

“There is a demand among the population for vaccines, this is obvious. People who have not had the coronavirus do not want to get sick in the future. Therefore, work out this issue with your Russian colleagues, we have a corresponding agreement,” the President said.

16 cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in South Ossetia in a day

The number of coronavirus cases in South Ossetia has increased by 16 over the past day and reached 2,917, Marina Kochieva, head of the Republic's Consumer Supervision Committee, told IA "Res".

" 16 residents of the Republic have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in a day, a total of 169 have been tested for coronavirus, 17 people were removed from the register on Wednesday," Kochieva said. According to her, 833 people in the republic with coronavirus infection are currently under the supervision of doctors.

Ambassador of South Ossetia in Russia Znaur Gassiev met in Moscow with the Vice-Rector of the National Research University Higher School of Economics Ivan Prostakov.

As the press service of the Embassy has informed IA "Res", during the meeting they discussed the prospects of interaction, concerning, in particular, the training of citizens of the Republic of South Ossetia in this educational institution, as well as possible cooperation with the South Ossetian State University.
