Enough time has passed since August 2008 for official Tbilisi to accept the existing realities and recognize the sovereignty of South Ossetia. This is stated in the statement by a representative of the RSO Foreign Ministry in connection with the statement of the Georgian Dream party.

The Foreign Ministry has noted that against the backdrop of the upcoming parliamentary elections in Georgia in October, the Georgian politicians are increasingly making various declarative statements regarding the status of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

South Ossetia is taking part in the international youth festival "Manzherok", which started in the Altai Republic and brought together representatives from 15 countries.

The participants of the large-scale event were welcomed by the State Duma deputy Roman Ptitsyn on behalf of the acting head of Altai Andrei Turchak.

He has emphasized that the festival program is rich; here the youth will acquire both new knowledge and many new friends.
