A commemorative event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Beslan terrorist attack will be held in the Russian capital on September 3, the press service of the Moscow Ossetian community reports.

“We invite everyone to honor the memory of the victims of the terrible tragedy and take part in the memorial service in the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kulishki (the Alan farmstead) for those killed. The memorial service will begin at 12:15,” the press service has noted.

President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev has met with the delegation of the Russian Emergencies Ministry headed by the Acting Head of the Main Department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Nikolai Ivanov, which arrived in Tskhinval to participate in the festive events in honor of the 16th anniversary of the recognition of the independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Russian Federation, the press service of the head of state reports.

In Sukhum the heads of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, Akhsar Dzhioev and Sergey Shamba, signed a plan of consultations between the Ministries for 2024-2025, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.

"The document provides for topics related to current issues of bilateral relations, the development of the legal framework of the two countries, cooperation in the field of consular activities, the organization of joint scientific and practical seminars, conferences, round tables, etc.," the press service has noted.

A telephone conversation took place between the South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, the press service of the head of state reports.

Alexander Novak congratulated Alan Gagloev and, in his person, all the people of South Ossetia on the 16th anniversary of the recognition of the independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Russian Federation and wished them peace and further prosperity.
