Two Georgian Detainees Released and Returned to Georgia

Two Georgian citizens detained by law enforcement authorities of South Ossetia for illegal crossing of the state border of South Ossetia with Georgia were handed over to the Georgian side, reported the Press Service of the KGB of South Ossetia.
"Kharazishvili Tamaz Nikolaevich, DOB 1956 and Abasadze Sergo Shalvovich, DOB 1935, were transferred to the Georgian side. Another four Georgian nationals arrested for similar violations Iardalashvili Jemal, 1974, Samkharadze Kaha Merabovich, 1984, Tokadze Ramaz Khtisovich, 1975 and Salamashvili Ilia Areshoevich, 1980 are still in the territory of South Ossetia, due to the absence of identification documents " said the press-service of the KGB.
It was noted that the Georgian authorities were about to transfer to South Ossetia the identification documents of the detainees.

EMECOMs of South Ossetia and Russia to sign cooperation agreement

An intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in prevention and management of emergencies is to be signed between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation, reported the Minister for Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov. According to him, the agreement will be signed in February 2011 in Moscow.

Operational situation and replacement of pipelines discussed at a meeting with the president of RSO

The South Ossetian President Eduard Kokoity held an extended session of the government to sum up last week's results.
Law enforcement and defense ministers reported on the operational situation in the country and around it.
As the Minister of Interior of South Ossetia Valery Valiev said last week, the law enforcement officers detained several individuals suspected of illegal drug abuse (marijuana). After the medical examination of the suspects, the materials on these violations have been transferred to the relevant judicial authorities for further proceedings.

Movement "South Ossetia Against Fascism ": The Traitors Should Be Extradited

The Movement "South Ossetia Against Fascism" demands criminal prosecution of people who cooperated with the Georgian authorities. We believe that before these people are brought to justice in South Ossetia, we cannot say that our civili society is developed enough. Moreover, the attitude towards such people may well serve as a test of kind for the whole nation. All groups of our society should unanimously stand against such manifestations of overt betrayal.

President's Plenipotentiary Says Sanakoyev Should Take the Responsibility for His Betrayal and for Many More

Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of South Ossetia for post-conflict settlement Boris Chochiyev comments on the press-conference of Vladimir Sanakoev.
"I want to say that Vladimir Sanakoyev's stories, which he published in the media, are ludicrous; it is wrong, when he believes that the Ossetian people, whom he betrayed, would trust his today's new stories. I am sure that if Saakashvili's plan "Clear Field" were implemented, Sanakoyev and his gang would say different things", said Chochiev.
As noted by the Plenipotentiary Representative, Vladimir Sanakoyev should take the responsibility for his betrayal and even for many more acts committed while he was a part of Saakashvili regime.

Eduard Kokoity Visited Rehabilitation Sites

President of the Republic of South Ossetia, Eduard Kokoity visited sites of housing and social infrastructure under rehabilitation. In particular, the president visited private housing sites in streets Ossetinskaya, Dmitrov, G. Dzhabiev, June 8, as well as kindergartens and newly built football ground and facilities in Tskhinval.
Eduard Kokoity spoke with the workers engaged in the construction, as well as the population on the ground. He showed his interest in whether the works were implemented in due time, the process of funds allocation. He noted that the houses should be handed over only in case if the owners had no claims towards the contractors.

Establishment of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic and Social Cooperation between South Ossetia and Russia
In 2010, the Interngovernmental Commission for Social and Economic Cooperation between South Ossetia and Russia was established to replace the Inter-Agency Commission for Rehabilitation of South Ossetia. This Commission was created to ensure more effective interaction between the governments of South Ossetia and Russia in the rehabilitation and socio-economic development of South Ossetia in 2011.
