As a result of RSO capital-Tskhinval night bombardment, delivered from mortars, grenade launchers and the small arms from three directions one man died and seven were wounded according to the preliminary data. There is information of damaged houses. At several sectors, were Georgian troops demonstratively advanced on Ossetian villages, Ossetian side was forced to retaliate. An intensive fusillade of Ubiat village lasted until late night. The village was attacked with the help of mortars. As a result of bombardment and sniper fire one man died and one wounded. Ossetian village Dmenis have been shelled till early morning.

«Georgian Government tasked their power structures to destabilize maximally the situation in the Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone until September. Within the framework of realization of this instruction authorities of power structures elaborated a scheme of measures which supposes an organization of number of provocative actions in the JPKF responsibility zone. In Tskhinval and the districts of Republic this plan, particularly, envisages firing of JPKF posts. Also, Georgian side will provoke exchanges of fire between South-Ossetian and Georgian positions located along the administrative RSO and RG border with the following fusillade of Tskhinval blocks. Today morning at 6:00 in the remote Ossetian village Dmenis, Tskhinval district of the Republic of South Ossetia committed an act of terrorism. This was informed to IA «Res» correspondent at the RSO MIA press service. In the result of explosion was killed the Head of Dmenis militia department Bibiliv Nodar Ilyich.
This is not the first attempt of physical elimination of Nodar Bibilov by Georgian special services. Earlier, on 28 February 2008 in the result of a terrorist act in Dmenis village Nodar Bibilov received heavy splinter wounds.

On 30 June 2008 JPKF military observers’ team from the three sides together with the OSCE Mission representatives conducted a monitoring to investigate a report of the engineering works in the vicinity of Georgian village Zemo-Nikozi. At the northern outskirts of Zemo-Nikozi at the territory of Georgian police post the monitoring team have found the traces of engineering works made by the engineering machinery.

As it become known to «Res» agency yesterday night by Georgian special services in Tskhinval was kidnapped 32 year old Russian citizen Valery Tadtaev who came to the capital of the Republic of South Ossetia from Vladikavkaz.

Russian JPKF battalion within the Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone was found the best detachment amongst the Russian peacekeeping contingents. Today the deputy Commander-in-Chief of Russian land forces lieutenant-general Valery Evnevich handed to JPKF Commander major-general Marat Kulakhmetov a pennant of «The best Russian armed contingent of peacekeeping forces». The ceremony eventuated at the solemn formation at the Russian battalion position.
Valery Evnevich emphasized that the Russian peacekeepers are suitably fulfilling their soldier’s duty.

The President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity met RSO businessmen. The meeting participated by the chiefs of RSO Ministries and Departments. At the meeting were discussed the issues of smaller and middle business development and farming as well as the questions of realization of specific projects indigent State support.

The President of the Republic of South Ossetia conducted a conference with the Heads of the Ministries and departments of Republic. At the conference were discussed the topical questions faced by the RSO Government.

As it was earlier informed, on June 23, 2008 a delegation of ambassadors from 12 countries of the European Union accredited in Georgia visited the Republic of South Ossetia. The aim of the visit was to acknowledge with the course of implementation of the International donor program on economic rehabilitation of the zone of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict.
