One of RSO capital-Tskhinval will be renamed. As IA «Res» correspondent was informed at Tskhinval mayor’s office press-service, such a decision has been made at the sitting of the town administration board.

The President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity presented «Pushkin Medal» to RSO science workers. The rewarding decree has been signed earlier by the President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. With the Medal has been rewarded Professor of South Ossetian State University Russian Language chair Gabaraev Nikolay, the governor of South Ossetian Research Institute Ossetian department Nafi Djussoity and the Russian language and literature teacher of Tskhinval secondary school №2 Maria Kharebova.

Aiming at further escalation of tension in the conflict zone the Georgian side intends to organize mass action with involvement of local population at the Georgian administrative villages. It was informed to IA «Res» correspondent at RSO MIA press-service. «Apart from the increasing of number of the armed structures detachments at RSO borders, Georgian authorities are planning to organize so called «peace marches» with involving of NGOs and the population of Georgian-inhabited villages of South Ossetia, temporarily uncontrolled by the RSO authorities.

In connection with the today’s hearings in the UN Security Council on the question of Russia’s President instructions on South Ossetia and Abkhazia, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity stated: «UN must take into consideration that Georgia designedly and purposefully blocks the implementation of international agreements on economic rehabilitation of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone, impedes the UNHCR activity in South Ossetia and wrecks the fulfillment of International donor program for South Ossetia.

The President of the Republic of South Ossetia handed to Alanian Eparchy relics of 24 Saints from the Kiev-Pechora Monastery. «Today, for the Alanian Eparchy, for the parishioners of Alanian Eparchy we have brought relics of 24 Saints from Kiev-Pechora Monastery. I am awfully happy that we together with Vladimir Koroev have succeeded in acquisition of Orthodox relics for the Alanian Eparchy».

The Georgian side is going on concentrating artillery detachments, which has recently conducted exercises at the «Orfolo» fire-range, at the borders of the Republic of South Ossetia. This information was given to IA «Res» correspondent at RSO Security Council press-service. «We have information that Georgian armed forces were ordered on 15 hour fighting trim.

«The Georgian side is going on to gather troops along the borders of the Republic of South Ossetia on the backdrop of warlike rhetoric. The Government of Georgia does not disguise its intention to solve the problem by force, what was disclosed by M. Saakashvili at the sitting of the Security Council. These actions have been intensified in last few days»-stated the President of the Republic of South Ossetia to IA «Res» correspondent.

In Moscow near the residence of the Euro Commission Ambassador to Russia, the International Youth Assembly «For democracy and human rights» will hold another action. This action is a logical course of a termless company under the motto «Recognition for unrecognized! ». It was informed to a «Res» correspondent in the RSO Ministry of Youth information and analytical department.

«On behalf of the people of South Ossetia I would like to express our gratitude to the Government of Russian Federation for the acceptance of such an important for us decision»-said the Prime Minister of the Republic of South Ossetia Yuri Morozov commenting to IA «Res» correspondent an instruction of the President of RF Vladimir Putin of providing an objective backing to Abkhazia and South Ossetia. «The citizens of RSO who has a Russian citizenship, their number is more than 95% can at last fulfill their plans on more worthy life and stable development. One should say these measures are well-timed, for the society having no possibility to develop dynamically and to be optimistic about their future can not be a full-fledged member of International Community.
