Tskhinval Supplied with Potable Water According to a Temporary Schedule

Shortage of drinking water is caused by the cut-off at the open water reservoir in the village of Dzomag at Edis-Tskhinvali water pipeline, which supplies the South Ossetian capital with potable water, reported the Director General of the State Unitary Enterprise (SUE) "Energoresours" - South Ossetia Alan Gabaraev.

National Policy Committee of the Parliament of South Ossetia Disucsses A Number of Draft Laws

The Committee on National Policy, Culture, Education, Sience, Religion and the Media of the Parliament of South Ossetia plans to bring up for discussion by MPs the the draft laws on the state language and Ossetian family names, Mira Tskhovrebova, the Committee Chairman, Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, told IA "Res".
"We have already suggested the draft laws on language and family names for a public debate and have held parliamentary hearings. Now the projects will be considered by members of the presidium of the Parliament, and later in the session. Each participant to the discussion may make comments, and if we believe these comments reasonable and necessary, then the laws will be amended ", said Tskhovrebova.

High Voltage Power Line from Tskhinval to Leningor District Installed

The construction of power supply line to Leningor District of South Ossetia has been completed, reported the Head of the District Administration of Leningor Alan Jussoev.
According to him, the population in more than 60 villages of the district are now connected to electricity.
"Electricity is supplied to more than 60 villages across the district inhabited by mixed Georgian-Ossetian population. Whereas previously the electricity in the area came from Georgia, now the whole area is entirely in the South Ossetian power supply network", said Jussoev.

South Ossetia and Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Sign Cooperation Agreement

Южная Осетия и Нижегородская область подписали Соглашение о сотрудничествеThe Agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation between the Republic of South Ossetia and Nizhny Novgorod Oblast of the Russian Federation was signed today in Tskhinval by the President of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity and the Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Valery Shantsev.
"After the Protocol on intentions was signed during the visit to Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, today we start implementing a full-scale agreement that will facilitate further development of our relationships. We attach great importance to the contacts with the regions of Russia ", Kokoity said at the signing ceremony.

South Ossetia Calls On International Community Not To Politicize Humanitarian Issues

South Ossetia called on the international community to avoid the politicization of humanitarian issues in the South Caucasus and to follow the example of the Russian Federation and take part in the recovery after the devastating consequences of the Georgian aggression of August 2008, the Head of the South Ossetian delegation to the international discussions on security in the Caucasus, the South Ossetian President's Plenipotentiary Boris Chochiev reports by telephone from Geneva.

Statement by the Delegation of the Republic of South Ossetia at the Geneva Discussions

As you know, issues related to the dignified and safe return and resettlement of refugees as a humanitarian component of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict settlement process are the subject matter of discussions in the Second Working Group of the Geneva international discussions.
These same issues repeatedly were addressed at the UN General Assembly, which adopted three resolutions without taking into account the opinion of the parties concerned.
It should be noted that, despite the efforts, no real results in solving the problems of refugees have been achieved.
