"The border post is located on the border line of the Republic of South Ossetia and Georgia at an altitude of 944.8, which is dominant in this section of the border," the KGB statement said.
The border post at a strategically important height prevents the Georgian side from trying to establish control over part of the territory of South Ossetia in the area of the village of Uista.
