The delegation of South Ossetia, participating in the presidential elections in Syria as international observers, has noted the democratic nature of the voting, the press service of the legislative body of the Republic of South Ossetia told the “Res” news agency.

“The feeling of a holiday is present throughout Syria, people come to vote with pleasure. It is noticeable that they believe in their future, every citizen wants to contribute to the development of the Syrian state,” said Alan Tadtaev, speaker of the RSO parliament.

On May 28, a delegation of the Russian Parliamentary Center "Integrated Security of the Fatherland" and the Russian club of holders of state awards of the Republic of South Ossetia, headed by People's Artist of the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia A.V. Pankratov-Cherny, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic reports.

Chairman of the Parliament of South Ossetia Alan Tadtaev during his trip to the SAR met with the Chairman of the People's Assembly of the Syrian Arab Republic Hammud Sabbah. According to the press service of the legislative body of the RSO, at the meeting they discussed issues of strengthening inter-parliamentary relations between the two republics in the interests of the two friendly peoples.
