Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the ratification of an agreement on simplifying the procedure for acquisition, Russian citizenship for citizens of South Ossetia. The law was published on Saturday on the official portal of legal information.

The document was signed by Russia and South Ossetia in 2021. It provides that citizens of one country will be able to acquire the citizenship of another country without giving up the existing one.

Aсting Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Dmitry Medoev has received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic Marat Kulakhmetov, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia reports.

The parliamentary delegation of South Ossetia told about the results of a three-day visit to the Federation Council to the President of South Ossetia, Alan Gagloev.
