The Defender of the Fatherland Soslan Gabaraev was awarded the Order of "Uatsamonga" posthumously

The Incumbent President of South Ossetia, Anatoly Bibilov, awarded Soslan Yasonovich Gabaraev with the Order of Uatsamonga (posthumously) for courage and heroism shown in defending the independence and territorial integrity of the Republic, the press service of the head of state reports.

“He showed an example of courage and bravery here, in South Ossetia, and during the conflict in the North Caucasus, and in Abkhazia. He really was a brave warrior, he was a hero, a hero for all of us,” the President said.

“According to Article 49 of the constitutional law of the Republic “On presidential elections”, the CEC determines the results of the presidential elections no later than five days after the election day.

The Victory Parade began on Theater Square in the capital of South Ossetia

The military parade to mark the 77th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War began in Tskhinval. To the sounds of the song "Holy War", the national flag of the Republic and the banner of Victory were carried to the square.

Incumbent President Anatoly Bibilov, former presidents Ludwig Chibirov and Leonid Tibilov, Russian Ambassador to the Republic Marat Kulakhmetov, veterans, heads of the law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, as well as the invited guests, rose to the podium.
