A second campaign to collect humanitarian aid for residents of the DPR and the LPR has been announced in South Ossetia

In South Ossetia, the collection of assistance to residents of the DPR, the LPR and military personnel participating in the special military operation of Russia continues. At the end of last month, about 20 tons of humanitarian aid were sent from the Republic to Donbass.

As Linda Kumaritova, the wife of the President of the Republic, told the “Res” news agency, the action of collecting aid continues, as the residents of the DPR, LPR and military personnel need support.

Ministry of Defense of South Ossetia headed by Vladimir Pukhaev

President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov appointed the former law enforcement officer Vladimir Pukhaev as Minister of Defense of the Republic.

Previously, Pukhaev ran for the post of head of state, but dropped out of the election race.

Anatoly Bibilov introduced the new head of the department to the Ministry of Defense on Monday.

The resident of the Tskhinval district of South Ossetia found ammunition and turned to sappers

On Sunday morning, the duty unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of South Ossetia received a message about the discovery of ammunition, Res was told in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of South Ossetia.

“At 10:24, the Ministry of Emergencies Forces Command Center received a message about the discovery of ammunition by a resident of the Republic. A dangerous find was discovered in the village of Dzartsem, Tskhinval district, it turned out to be the tail of a 93mm Shmel flamethrower. The ammunition was not dangerous,” the press service said.

The CEC of South Ossetia published the final protocol on the presidential elections on April 10

he incumbent President of South Ossetia, Anatoly Bibilov, in the presidential elections on April 10, after processing 100% of the protocols, scored 9,706 votes (34.95%), the leader of the Nykhas party, Alan Gagloev, scored 10,707 votes (38.55%), according to the data of the final protocol of the CEC of the Republic.

"The number of voters who took part in the voting amounted to 29,057 people, which is 73.97 percent of the total number of voters included in the lists at the end of voting," the final protocol reads.

The army of South Ossetia is mourning the death of former special forces soldier Ruslan Besaev in Ukraine

The command and personnel of the Ministry of Defense of South Ossetia are mourning the death of Ruslan Omarovich Besaev, the former serviceman of the Special Purpose Battalion, and express their condolences to the family of the deceased.

Besaev took part in a special military operation of the Russian Armed Forces on the territory of Ukraine as a volunteer, died heroically in battles in the Mariupol region, the press service of the defense department reported.

The date of the second round of presidential elections will be set at the meeting on April 14 – the head of the CEC

The CEC of South Ossetia will set the date of the second round of the presidential elections at the meeting on Thursday, April 14.

“Tomorrow there will be a meeting, we have several proposals that we will consider,” the CEC head Emilia Gagieva told the IA “Res”.

On the eve of the CEC announced the expected date of the second round on May 8, previously announced on April 24.
