The St. George Ribbon campaign has started in Tskhinval

On Sunday morning, On the eve of the celebration of Victory Day in the capital of South Ossetia, started the annual patriotic campaign "George's Ribbon» .

Pupils of the Cadet School went to the Theater Square of Tskhinval to present the main symbol of the Victory to passers-by. Volunteers are also handing out leaflets that tell about the history of the St. George Ribbon and the rules for wearing it.

As Minister of Culture of South Ossetia Zhanna Zasseeva told the IA “Res” , more than 10,000 St. George ribbons will be distributed this year in South Ossetia.

Scientists of the South Ossetian State University took part in the international theoretical -practical conference "Russia and the world: dialogues - 2022"

Scientists of the South Ossetian State University took part in the work of the VI International Theoretical and Practical Conference: "Russia and the World: Dialogues - 2022". This was reported to the IA "Res" by the press service of the university.

The event was held from 26 to 27 April at the platform of the Presidential Academy.

Thank you for peace: Russian border guards came to the aid of South Ossetia 13 years ago

Russian border guards started joint border protection on April 30, 2009, when an agreement was signed between Russia and South Ossetia on joint efforts to protect the state border. Since then, Russian border guards have been guarding the borders of South Ossetia together with their South Ossetian counterparts, together protecting peace and security in the Republic.

Saturday marks 13 years since the signing of the Agreement and 13 years since the establishment of the Border Guard Service of the FSB of Russia in South Ossetia.

The protection of compatriots abroad was discussed during the video conference of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation with the participation of South Ossetia

The Public Chamber of Russia hosted a videoconference “Massive Violation of the Rights of Russian Compatriots Abroad on the Grounds of Citizenship, Nationality and Language: How to Counteract This”.

The videoconference was attended by compatriots from all over the world - South Ossetia, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Abkhazia, the Netherlands, Denmark, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and others.

The road home: 11 people are returning from South Ossetia back to the DPR

Refugees from the Donetsk People's Republic 11 out of 42 people who arrived in South Ossetia on February 26 are returning home on Friday.

"Accompanied by the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, they left the Republic," the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

Refugees from Donbass were accommodated in comfortable rooms of the Victoria Hotel in Tskhinval. In an interview with journalists, they said that they were forced to leave the DPR, largely because of the children.

The collecting continues: director of school No. 2 in Tskhinval on humanitarian aid to the DPR and the LPR

A batch of humanitarian aid sent by South Ossetia to residents of the DPR, LPR and servicemen participating in the special military operation was received by residents of Mariupol. The Tskhinval secondary school No. 2 took an active part in the collection.

Humanitarian aid was sent from the Republic at the end of March. Food and other necessary items were distributed in different directions.

On April 28, 1991, the history of South Ossetia was replenished with another tragic date. Seven unarmed residents of the village of Tsinagar in Leningor district – Otar Margiev, Givi Bibilov, Slavik Chertkoev, Zaur Khubulov, Otar Khubulov, Tengiz Dudaev and Taimuraz Khubulov, defending their pastures from cattle rustling, were killed by the Georgian aggressors.
